Successful thriving farmers markets take a lot of work. The WFMA was created to bring together resources and expertise from around the state to help farmers markets in Wisconsin thrive. Our purpose is to promote local food consumption through the support and education of market managers, vendors, communities, and consumers.

Membership in the Wisconsin Farmers Market Association is open to all Farmers Markets that support our mission and are located in the State of Wisconsin; membership is also open to vendors and supporters.

Get advice and information from other Wisconsin farmers market managers through meetings and educational opportunities.

Advising

Get help with important topics and emerging issues at your market. Association members are committed to helping each other and sharing their expertise.

Education

Access to annual Farmers Market Manager Workshops, Farmers Market Short Course series, and other educational opportunities on locally focused topics.

Stay Current

Member markets will stay updated in new laws, regulations, and rules affecting farmers markets, market vendors, and products.

Insurance

Vendor and Market members of the WFMA may purchase an insurance policy at a reduce cost under the Association's group policy.

Market members share copies of market rules, job descriptions, marketing materials, newsletters and other documents.

Food Safety

Access information about food licenses, regulations and food safety practices to keep your vendors and customers safe.

Voice

Have a voice in the direction and priorities of the Association by attending meetings, joining a committee or becoming a board member. Engage with Wisconsin markets and beyond with the connection to the Farmers Market Coalition.

Promotion

Promote your farmers market through the map and the market profile on the Wisconsin Farmers Market Association website.

Farmers Market Member ($35, $75, or $100; dependant on the size of the farmers market or market organization):
This category represents an organization of growers, farmers, and artisans selling their products directly to the public. Agriculture related vendors must comprise at least 50% of the vendors at member market. Each member market has one vote. Membership fee is based on market size. All member markets must use their best effort to ensure all vendors comply with local, state, and federal regulations. Includes membership to the national Farmers Market Coalition and their benefits.

Vendor Member: ($25)
This non-voting membership category includes all farmers market vendors.

Association Friend: (Pick Your Fee and/or Sponsor a Market's Membership)
This is a non-voting membership for individuals, organizations or other interested parties who would like to support the organization.

Association Sponsor: ($500 or more)
This non-voting membership is for supporters of the WFMA’s mission. Association sponsors will be acknowledged on the association's website.
