Establishing the market has also become one of the Downtown West Bend Associations (DWBA) greatest achievements, bringing over 2,000 guests into community every week to shop, dine, and explore West Bend. The weekly goal of the Farmers' Market is to attract visitors to the downtown neighborhood to walk along an open-air market, window shop the downtown businesses, enjoy the downtown restaurants, and promote local farmers aiding in securing the future of locally grown sustainable foods, increasing support for sustainable farmers, educating our community, and providing direct access to nutritious fresh foods.

The Farmers' Market pulls the DWBA, downtown businesses, local non- profits, churches, clubs, and local agriculturalists together to provide a weekly market located within historic downtown.   In 2022, American Farmland Coalition named the West Bend Farmers’ Market as the #1 market in Wisconsin.  Vogue Magazine listed the market as one of the favorite markets in the Nation.

There are extremely specific rules and regulations established by the DWBA that secure and maintain the integrity of this market, vendor selection is very stringent. Market stalls are rented only to bona fide growers or producers of the products that are sold. All products must be locally grown. No wholesale produce may be sold at the market. No product may be sold that is grown or produced by anyone other than the individual(s) contracting for the stall(s).

In addition to the market vendors providing a wide selection of products, we have live entertainment, in 3 locations of the market that fills the streets with great ambiance to fulfill an amazing experience while visiting the West Bend Farmers Market.
